EVALUATIONS
At DHB Therapy, we take time to understand your child's communication strengths and challenges, as well as your family's goals. Our evaluation sessions typically include:

-
A parent interview
-
Informal observations
-
Speech and language assessments

After the evaluation process is complete, we will review the results with you, answer any questions you may have, and offer helpful tips and resources to support your child's growth. You know your child best, so your input is essential in creating a plan for speech therapy!
OUR APPROACH TO THERAPY
Our speech therapists will follow your child's lead and help them reach their goals through play. We typically start off with tasks that are less challenging to increase your child's confidence and slowly build to incorporate new, challenging skills. Our speech therapy sessions are:

-
Tailored to meet your child's needs
-
Focused on your family's priorities
-
Backed by research and clinical experience

We also encourage family members to participate in sessions. When parents and therapists work together, children learn to use their new skills beyond the therapy room... at home, in school, and out in the community!
EARLY INTERVENTION
Does your child need support to reach speech and language milestones? We work alongside parents to help children birth to 5 years old:
